Jo Anne Lambrecht Peck, R.I.P.

The D/A has a nice edit on Jo Anne Lambrecht Peck, who'd been involved in RICO politics forever and who died last week.

She was a nice lady, and always helpful when a reporter called.

Jo Anne was always a friendly face in the Moline City Clerk's office. I always looked forward to seeing her when ABATE came to Springfield each year to lobby. I looked for her this past week and was disappointed... I didn't realize she was so close to the end. She struck me as such a good-natured "grandma-type" that I never could picture her on a motorcycle. But that was an important issue for her. We have lost a public servant...

Jo Anne was a lovely and kind woman. She will be sorely missed.
